Unlike some deeper, more aggressive laser resurfacing procedures, MicroLaserPeel® is very tolerable. Many patients even opt-out of receiving a topical numbing cream before treatment.
Depending on your skin’s unique needs and your specific concerns, your Skin Artisans provider will recommend the number of treatments you will need during your initial consultation. Although significant improvements can be seen after a single treatment, many patients opt to have a series of three treatments if they are working towards a specific goal that involves improving their skin’s texture.

No matter the depth or intensity of your MicroLaserPeel®, expect mild redness and swelling for 8-12 hours after your procedure. This is very common and will feel much like a sunburn. Your skin will feel tight as well for up to 48 hours. If a deeper MicroLaserPeel® is performed, or your treatment is combined with other procedures, like ProFractional, expect an extended downtime of up to one week with flaking. If a lighter treatment is performed, you may experience little to no downtime and be able to enjoy fresh, smooth, vibrant-looking skin in as little as three days!
