WHAT IS THE O-SHOT®?

The O-Shot® is an injectable treatment that harnesses the power of your blood’s stem cell rich plasma to restore health and vitality to both internal and external vaginal tissues. A series of injections are performed throughout the internal vagina and clitoris to regenerate healthy tissue and increase blood flow over time. In doing so, the O-Shot® revitalizes vaginal tissue, heightens sexual sensitivity, improves libido, enhances vaginal lubrication, and may reduce the symptoms of urinary incontinence.

HOW DOES THE O-SHOT® WORK?

The O-Shot® relies on the incredible properties of platelet-rich plasma, commonly known as PRP. This is a natural component of your blood that contains cell-regenerating growth factors. When injected into the tissues of the vagina and clitoris, it triggers stem cells in the area to produce more collagen, increase blood flow, and regenerate healthy tissue.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING AN O-SHOT® TREATMENT?

Your O-Shot® appointment begins with a simple blood draw from your arm. The blood is then put into a special centrifuge, which spins down the PRP that will be used for your treatment.

Your procedure will take place in a comfortable, private room. Your provider will apply numbing cream to all areas that will be injected to ensure your comfort. Once this is removed, they will proceed with injections inside the vagina and the clitoris.

WHAT DOES THE O-SHOT® FEEL LIKE?

Because the numbing cream is applied before your treatment, the O-Shot® is virtually painless. The injections may feel like a slight pinch, followed by a warm sensation. The procedure takes 30 minutes or less to perform, including the numbing time.

IS THERE DOWNTIME AFTER THE O-SHOT?

There are minimal to no recovery time after the O-Shot®, although some patients may experience mild swelling or tenderness for the first few days after their appointment.

ARE THERE BENEFITS TO ADDING THE O-SHOT® TO MY DIVA® LASER VAGINAL THERAPY TREATMENT?

There are significant benefits to adding the O-Shot® to your diVa® Laser Vaginal Therapy treatment. PRP can be injected immediately following your laser session. When the O-Shot® is combined with diVa®, tissues heal faster, collagen production is enhanced, creating thicker vaginal walls. Over time, new circulatory pathways are formed, improving blood flow to the vagina, which can lead to even more significant improvements in your intimate health.

HOW MANY O-SHOT® TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

Although most women experience benefits from just one O-Shot®, know these benefits can intensify and compound with additional treatments. Each subsequent O-Shot® will build upon your existing results. Your provider will recommend the number of treatments they believe will help you achieve your goals and address your concerns during your complimentary consultation.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM MY O-SHOT® RESULTS?

Results from the O-Shot® will vary from woman to woman depending on her age, current state of intimate health, the presence of any hormonal imbalances, medications, medical history, and her expectations. The O-Shot® is not a magic shot. 50% of women may experience a “wow effect” after their first treatment, while others need subsequent treatments to see and feel their desired results.

Although many women experience a heightened sense of sexual arousal in the days following their O-Shot®, most enjoy these results within the first three months following their procedure as tissues are revitalized and blood flow increases.

The results of the O-Shot® generally last between one year and 18 months. Skin Artisans recommends following your provider’s guidelines for the number of treatments you will need to address your concerns and meet your goals. Then, schedule a treatment every 12-18 months to maintain your results.
