Is an even, clear, and vibrant complexion one of your skincare goals? How about smoother, firmer, and tighter skin? At one time, you may have had to go through two separate treatments (or more!) and significant downtime to achieve these goals, but those days are over with HALO™! As the world’s first Hybrid Fractional Laser (HFL), HALO can target both the surface and underlying layers of your skin for multi-faceted results with manageable downtime. If you have several skin concerns you want to be addressed in ONE TREATMENT, it’s time to consider HALO.
What is HALO?
HALO can target both the epidermis and the dermis of the skin simultaneously. Most laser technologies can only emit one wavelength of light at a time and only treat one layer of the skin at a time. HALO addresses skin concerns that typically exist closer to your skin’s surface, like sun damage, and more serious damage like wrinkles and acne scarring in one treatment.
What are the Benefits of HALO?
The HALO is like the best of BOTH worlds when it comes to lasers because it combines BOTH ablative and non-ablative wavelengths. During treatment, HALO fractionated technology creates microscopic depressions into your skin and then heats these areas to encourage advanced collagen production. This beneficial duality results in a reduction in fine lines, wrinkles, and pore size, as well as an overall improvement to skin tone and clarity.
What is the Downtime Like with HALO?
HALO treatments can be customized to a patient’s specific skin concerns and desired downtime. This means that you and your provider can decide on a deeper treatment with more extensive downtime, or a lighter treatment that will leave your skin glowing after five days.
What can I expect during the treatment?
The Advance Practice Esthetician will cleanse and apply a topical numbing cream to your skin to ensure your comfort during the procedure. You will go over all consents and post-care instructions while the numbing cream takes effect, for approximately 45-60 minutes. During the treatment, you will feel tiny pinpricks in the areas that the laser is targeting. Immediately after your treatment, your skin may appear sunburned and flushed. The heat persists for about two hours, however, the redness can persist for up to five days, and makeup can be applied 24 hours after your procedure. Healing for HALO usually takes five to seven days for your face and fourteen days for neck, décolleté, and other body parts.
How do I know if I’m a Good Candidate for HALO?
Everyone is a candidate for HALO!!!! If you are concerned about aging skin, sun damage, uneven skin tone, acne scarring, fine lines, wrinkles, or enlarged pores – you’re a candidate for HALO!
HALO is exceptional in that it can be customized to treat all skin types and colors. All treatment parameters of HALO can be customized, your Advance Practice Esthetician will be able to adjust your treatment to ensure safe and effective results.
What Results Can I Expect with HALO?
Get ready to GLOW! Patients commonly remark on how HALO seemed to “wake up” their skin. This is because HALO works at a deep level to regenerate the health of your skin from the inside out. Your skin actually begins to function and behave like younger skin as collagen growth is stimulated and fresh, vital cells come to the surface. At the same time, HALO lifts away years of damage from the surface of your skin, imparting a clear and even-toned surface for light to reflect off of.
You and your Advanced Practice Esthetician will discuss the ideal HALO treatment plan to address your specific skin concerns and desired level of downtime to ensure you can enjoy that “HALO GLOW” all-year-round!
