Get to Know Tina

Tina has spent nearly three decades in the aesthetics industry, and more than 17 of those years have been right here at Skin Artisans Edina. That kind of tenure says something. She has seen technologies evolve, watched treatment philosophies shift, and built a practice grounded in what actually works over time.

Originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, Tina’s interest in skincare started from a personal place. She struggled with acne early in life, and that experience gave her a firsthand understanding of how skin concerns can chip away at how you feel about yourself. It’s the reason she’s so deliberate about connecting with patients on a human level before ever picking up a device.

Over the years, Tina has developed a strong reputation for her skill with advanced laser treatments. She is particularly adept at identifying the right combination of technologies for each patient’s skin type and goals, and her patients appreciate that she takes the time to explain the “why” behind every recommendation.

At Skin Artisans, Tina works under the oversight of the board-certified plastic surgeons of Edina Plastic Surgery, a standard of medical direction that distinguishes Skin Artisans from most med spas in the Twin Cities.

My Treatment Philosophy

I believe great skin comes from a thoughtful, long-term approach to skin health.

Rather than focusing on one treatment at a time, I often combine different modalities together. Combining BBL photorejuvenation with laser resurfacing, for instance, lets us address pigmentation, texture, tone, and collagen stimulation in the same session or across a carefully planned series of visits.

I also love introducing my patients to laser treatments earlier in life. Correcting concerns like sun damage and uneven tone sooner rather than later means we can shift into a maintenance approach that keeps skin looking healthy and resilient as it ages. Prevention is always easier than correction.

My Favorite Treatments & Products

Some of my favorite treatments to perform include BBL, HALO, MicroLaser Peel, and SkinPen microneedling. These treatments are incredibly effective at improving skin tone, texture, and overall quality, and I never get tired of seeing the results my patients achieve with them.

I especially enjoy combining BBL and HALO to address multiple layers of the skin for more comprehensive improvement. Patients who commit to that combination often see a level of change they didn’t expect was possible without surgery.

For long-term skin maintenance, I often recommend a routine that includes quarterly neuromodulators like BOTOX, an annual HALO treatment, two BBL + MOXI treatments per year, and one to two SkinPen microneedling treatments to keep skin healthy and resilient.

Outside of the clinic, I love spending time outdoors and enjoying all of Minnesota’s beautiful seasons. I especially enjoy skiing, golfing, and spending time with my family whenever I can.
