Get to Know Therese

Originally from Duluth, Minnesota, Therese brings more than two decades of nursing experience and over 18 years of injectable expertise to her role as an Aesthetic Injection Specialist at Skin Artisans Edina. She has been with the practice since 2008, making her one of the longest-tenured injectors on the team.

Therese holds bachelor’s degrees in both nursing and family counseling, and she began her medical career as a pediatric nurse at Children’s Hospital. That clinical foundation gave her a precision and attentiveness that carries directly into her injection work today. But it’s her counseling background that patients often notice first. She listens in a way that goes beyond surface-level questions about what you want done. She’s trying to understand how you see yourself, what bothers you, and what “better” actually looks like to you.

That combination of clinical skill and genuine curiosity about her patients is what keeps people coming back to Therese year after year. She also stays current on evolving injectable techniques and products through ongoing education, so her approach continues to sharpen over time rather than relying on what worked a decade ago.

At Skin Artisans, Therese works under the oversight of the board-certified plastic surgeons of Edina Plastic Surgery. That level of medical direction gives patients an added layer of confidence, especially for advanced procedures like body contouring with fillers.

My Treatment Philosophy

I believe in a full-face approach that prioritizes balance, harmony, and natural-looking results. My goal is never to change how someone looks. It is to subtly enhance the features that already make them unique and who they are.

Honesty and transparency are central to how I practice. I take the time to truly get to know my patients, and that trust is what allows us to build treatment plans that evolve naturally over time rather than overcommitting in a single visit. If I don’t think something will benefit you, I’ll say so.

I am also the only provider at Skin Artisans who specializes in body contouring using dermal fillers, allowing me to address concerns beyond the face. Sagging knees, aging hands, cellulite dents, and other areas where volume loss has created irregularities can often be improved significantly with the right filler approach. It’s a service most patients don’t realize is even possible until we discuss it.
