Get to Know Michelle

Michelle brings nearly three decades of experience in the beauty and wellness industry to her role as an Advanced Practice Esthetician at Skin Artisans Woodbury.

Originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, Michelle’s passion for skincare began early. While working in a salon during high school, she was first introduced to the transformative impact professional skincare could have on a person’s confidence and well-being. That early exposure, combined with a pivotal internship with a luxury skincare distributor, solidified her decision to pursue aesthetics as a lifelong career.

Since becoming a licensed esthetician in 1998, Michelle has dedicated her career to helping patients improve their skin health through thoughtful treatment planning and advanced technologies. She later expanded her education with pre-nursing coursework to deepen her understanding of skin physiology and the body’s healing processes.

Michelle also received advanced BBL training under world-renowned aesthetic expert Dr. Patrick Bitter Jr., MD, and has extensive experience working with multiple laser platforms including Sciton, Lumenis, and Alma Lasers. That cross-platform training gives her a versatility that most estheticians don’t have, and it shows in how she approaches complex skin concerns.

My Treatment Philosophy

My approach to skincare is grounded in experience, science, and long-term skin health.

Rather than following trends or offering one-size-fits-all treatments, I focus on creating individualized treatment plans that evolve with each patient’s skin over time. My goal is to improve skin quality, stimulate collagen production, and support healthy skin function through every decade of life.

I’m particularly passionate about laser and energy-based technologies and how they can be thoughtfully combined with other treatments to address concerns like pigmentation, texture, vascular conditions, and overall skin rejuvenation.

My Favorite Treatments & Products

One of my favorite treatments to recommend, especially for patients new to laser treatments, is MOXI. It’s a gentle, non-ablative laser that helps improve tone, texture, sun damage, fine lines, and pore appearance while supporting overall skin quality. I also love combining and layering treatments to achieve the best results. Pairing MOXI with BBL, for example, is a combination that consistently delivers impressive improvements in clarity and radiance.

Where You’ll Find Me Outside Skin Artisans

Outside of the clinic, my greatest joy is spending time with my two sons. Our family loves escaping to our cabin in McGregor, Minnesota, where we spend as much time as possible enjoying the outdoors. When I’m not at the cabin, you’ll likely find me cheering from the sidelines at the baseball field, exploring new restaurants, traveling, or enjoying my favorite cold-brew coffee.
