Get to Know Melinda

Melinda brings more than a decade of experience in aesthetics and a unique combination of advanced skincare training and clinical nursing expertise to her role as an Aesthetic Injection Specialist at Skin Artisans Woodbury.

Originally from Long Island, New York, Melinda began her aesthetic career in 2014 after earning her Advanced Practice Esthetics license from the Aveda Institute. Her passion for the science behind skin health later led her to pursue nursing, earning her Associate of Science in Nursing from Rasmussen University in 2022. She is currently pursuing her Master of Nursing at Walden University.

This dual background allows Melinda to approach aesthetics from both an artistic and clinical perspective, combining an esthetician’s understanding of skin health with the precision and safety training of a registered nurse. She is also trained in MD Codes injection techniques, which provide a systematic framework for achieving predictable, balanced results in full-face harmonization while avoiding overtreatment.

My Treatment Philosophy

My philosophy centers on facial harmony, balance, and long-term skin health.

Rather than focusing on a single treatment or area of the face, I take a layered approach that considers the entire facial structure, from the skin’s surface to the deeper support structures like fat pads and bone. This allows me to create results that look natural, balanced, and sustainable over time.

I also strongly believe that injectables work best when they are paired with healthy skin practices. Combining treatments like neuromodulators, dermal fillers, biostimulators, and targeted skincare helps my patients achieve the most beautiful and lasting results.

My Favorite Treatments & Products

One of my favorite treatments to perform is facial balancing, where neuromodulators and dermal fillers work together to restore structure and harmony to the face. I especially enjoy using fillers strategically in the cheeks, chin, and jawline to support natural facial contours.

I’m also passionate about biostimulator treatments like Sculptra, which stimulate collagen production and support long-term skin quality. For patients who want gradual, natural-looking improvement that builds over time, it’s one of the most rewarding treatments I offer.

Where You’ll Find Me Outside Skin Artisans

Outside of the clinic, I enjoy spending time in nature and nurturing my creative side. I love gardening, cooking nourishing meals, exploring local hiking trails, and spending time with family and friends.

I’m also drawn to philosophy and design and enjoy getting lost in a good book or playing board games with loved ones. Whether in the treatment room or at home, I try to live by one guiding principle: live as your most authentic self.
