Madison’s journey into the world of aesthetics was deeply influenced by her own skin story. As a teenager, she grappled with persistent acne, a struggle that left her feeling so self-conscious that she actively avoided her reflection in mirrors and having her picture taken. Her life took a transformative turn when an esthetician guided her on how to heal her acne and improve her skin through education, lifestyle adjustments, and professional products and treatments. This life-changing experience ignited a passion in Madison to help others experience similar transformations, ultimately leading her to pursue a career in the aesthetics industry.
Today, Madison brings both professional expertise and a personal passion for skin health to her role as Traveling Cosmetic Assistant to Dr. Allison Heimer. She has a comprehensive educational background that includes a license in Cosmetology, her Advanced Practice Esthetician certification, and credentials as a Certified Phlebotomist and Laser Technician. These qualifications equip Madison to provide advanced aesthetic care to patients and invaluable assistance to Dr. Allison.
Madison’s approachable, down-to-earth style and her ability to ‘meet patients where they are’ in their skin journey have endeared her to many. She is committed to fostering genuine relationships, ensuring patients feel at ease, and even injecting a bit of humor into the treatment room! Her guiding philosophy is simple yet profound: treat every patient with the same care and respect you would give family.
Her favorite treatment? SkinPen® microneedling, which Madison credits with dramatically improving her own acne scarring and pore size. She also appreciates the subtle confidence boost Botox® can provide. But more than the treatments themselves, she values how aesthetic care can empower people to feel more comfortable in their own skin. For Madison, the most rewarding part of her work is seeing a patient’s confidence blossom over time, knowing that even small changes can profoundly affect their self-esteem and overall outlook on life.
Madison is also deeply inspired by the team she works alongside at Skin Artisans. Since entering the industry more than five years ago, she has always admired the clinic’s unmatched reputation for excellence, education, and innovation. Now, being part of the practice, she is continually impressed by how sincere, warmhearted, and approachable her colleagues are. She feels grateful to work within a culture that not only sets the bar for clinical expertise but also embodies compassion and teamwork at every turn.
Outside of work, Madison loves spending time with her husband and their young son. Together, they often travel back to her family’s farm in western North Dakota, where country roots and family time keep her grounded. Her personal mantra, “Choose JOY,” reflects the positivity and compassion she brings to every patient she meets.
