Jennifer’s initial motivation to enter the skincare world was a very personal one. Like many teenagers, she struggled with acne and the negative toll it can take on a young adult’s self-esteem. Growing up in a small town that had no resident dermatologists or skincare providers made getting help with her acne especially challenging. As a result, Jennifer researched various skin care products and treatments to help her skin. This experience made a significant impact on Jennifer, and she decided that she wanted to help others face the challenges she had by becoming a Licensed Esthetician.
Jennifer earned her Advanced Practice Esthetics license from St. Paul Technical College in 2010. This comprehensive program is geared toward skincare providers who wish to work in a medical setting. Education and course material is curated to focus on medical modalities, laser, and other advanced treatment options. It was here that Jennifer also earned her CIDESCO certification. The CIDESCO Diploma is the world’s most prestigious qualification for Aesthetics and Beauty Therapy which has set international standards since 1957.
Since graduating, Jennifer has spent the last decade working alongside successful dermatologists in the St. Paul/Minneapolis area. This experience has proven to be invaluable and has exposed Jennifer to a diverse array of skin diseases, conditions, and concerns, as well as the treatments, tools, and technologies to treat them! She is well-versed in a multitude of laser treatments, clinical skincare treatments, and the majority of physician-grade skincare lines available today. Jennifer loves sharing her knowledge and personal experiences with her own skin to help patients feel more empowered, more confident, and like they have a true partner who will help them reach their skincare goals.
While acne is no longer a concern for Jennifer, she has shifted her focus to the graceful and healthy aging of her skin and that of her patients! She is an expert in age-defying treatments that address the tone and texture of the skin, like BBL® Photorejuvenation and laser resurfacing. Jennifer believes that healthy skin is NOT an overnight process, but instead, takes continuous work and maintenance to keep the skin looking and behaving its best. Her goal is to have her patients feel so confident in their natural skin that they feel comfortable enough to ditch their foundation and their filters!
When outside of work, Jennifer loves spending time with her husband and two, very energetic kids. As a family, they relish traveling to new places and are always game for a fresh adventure! Jennifer is also a self-proclaimed “foodie” who enjoys scoping out new restaurants in the Twin Cities area and beyond.
