WHAT IS DIVA® LASER VAGINAL THERAPY?
diVa® is a non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation treatment that utilizes the world’s first and only revolutionary Hybrid Fractional Laser (HFL) technology by Sciton®. HFL technology allows your Skin Artisans provider to customize your treatment to address your unique intimate challenges. diVa® delivers two laser therapies at once to the tissues of the vaginal canal for a combined synergistic effect. The first laser deeply resurfaces the layers of the vaginal wall, immediately replacing it with brand-new, healthy tissue. The second laser heats the deeper layers of the tissue to stimulate collagen production and restore thickness and support to the vaginal canal over time. In essence, diVa® uses advanced laser technology to rejuvenate and tighten the vaginal tissues, leading to improvement in the symptoms of vaginal laxity, dryness, and urinary incontinence.

HOW DOES DIVA® WORK?
diVa® works by delivering laser energy directly to the vaginal tissues via a specially designed handpiece that is inserted into the vagina. The fractional resurfacing delivered during the quick 5-10 minute treatment creates micro-injuries that stimulate healing and collagen production to promote the growth of new, thick, elastic, and healthy tissue. This process can help improve the strength, elasticity, and thickness of the vaginal walls and enhance vaginal lubrication over time by enhancing blood flow within the tissues of the vagina.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING A DIVA® LASER VAGINAL THERAPY TREATMENT?
When you arrive for your diVa® treatment at Skin Artisans, you will be shown to your private treatment room. A topical numbing cream will be applied to the inside of your vagina for 15-20 minutes to ease any discomfort during your treatment and removed immediately before your session begins.
During your diVa® treatment, your provider will adjust the laser energy they use to cater to your unique needs and concerns. The diVa® handpiece will be fitted with a sterile, single-use dilator and then inserted into the vagina. As laser energy is emitted, the handpiece will be rotated within the dilator to target 360 degrees of the vaginal walls. Your provider will focus their passes of the laser to address specific areas of the vagina. For example, the first pass may target the anterior wall of the vagina to enhance tightening around the urethra and improve incontinence. The second pass may then cover the entire vaginal canal to improve natural lubrication and laxity. diVa® is a highly customized treatment tailored to your intimate needs and concerns.
Your diVa® treatment will take about 45 minutes with numbing. The actual procedure only takes about 5-10 minutes.
WHAT DOES DIVA® LASER VAGINAL THERAPY FEEL LIKE?
There is very little discomfort experienced with diVa®. Most women only report feeling a slight pressure or tapping sensation during the insertion and rotation of the handpiece within the vagina.
IS THERE DOWNTIME WITH DIVA® LASER VAGINAL THERAPY?
diVa® has little to no downtime. After your treatment, you may experience some mild discomfort and pressure, but this will subside within 24-48 hours. Although you may return to your daily activities immediately following diVa®, your provider will advise you to abstain from sexual intercourse for 2-3 days following treatment as tissues heal. Using bathtubs, swimming pools, and hot tubs is also discouraged for the first 72 hours following your treatment. Rest assured, the discomfort is minimal and the recovery is quick, allowing you to get back to your routine in no time.
Although uncommon, some women may experience spotting, cramping, and a slight sunburn sensation for 24-48 hours following diVa®.
HOW MANY DIVA® LASER VAGINAL THERAPY TREATMENT WILL I NEED?
Although most women experience improvements after their first diVa® treatment, three treatments spaced four weeks apart are recommended for optimal results. After, one treatment each year is recommended to maintain your results.
