Currently comprised of some of the most talented Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Associates in the entire Midwest, our Aesthetic Injector team has over 100 years of combined experience! We know we have set the bar high for delivering excellence in results and patient care; that’s why we are so excited to introduce you to our newest injector, Jennifer Hook Varella Barca, MPAS, PA-C!
Jenn believes her life’s purpose is to nurture others. This innate quality, which she has felt since childhood, has guided her to help those in need and to empathize with others. These values have not only shaped her personal relationships and educational journey but have also directed her career path as a Physician Associate and Aesthetic Injector.
Jenn’s relentless pursuit of her goals is a testament to her character. Graduating in the top 2% of her class at Augsburg College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology in 2006, and being named Biology Student of the Year in 2004, are just a few of her many achievements. After college, her dedication continued as she went on to earn her Master’s Degree of Science in Physician Associate Studies from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine. Her training in North Dakota included a preceptorship focusing on hand plastic and reconstructive surgery, as well as aesthetic medicine. Jennifer has been a practicing Physician Associate for over a decade now, specializing in surgical specialties such as orthopedics, hand, plastic, and reconstructive surgery.
Jenn’s extensive experience in aesthetic medicine has profoundly influenced her approach to patient care. She is committed to providing a safe and comfortable environment where her patients can openly share their desires and goals. As an attentive listener, she understands the deep connection between our outer appearance and inner feelings. Her focus is to use her skills to help every patient look and feel like the best version of themselves.
Jenn’s strong scientific background is beautifully complemented by her artistic skills. Her years of assisting in meticulous surgeries have honed her abilities, giving her a reliable hand and gentle touch for every procedure she performs. She takes pleasure in creating personalized treatment plans with her patients, focusing on enhancing and harmonizing their natural features, correcting imperfections, and restoring confidence.
Jenn’s passion for health and fitness mirrors her passion for aesthetics outside of work. She is a marathon runner, powerlifter, bodybuilder, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champion. Jenn also loves being a mom and spending time with her husband, José, and their children, both on and off the Jiu-Jitsu mats!
